“the lanterns are made of gold”

Try to find a way out

Tears so violent in yesterday’s youth

substances painting windows across time

A carriage mirrored across the sky

Fire shouting in a match to regain solidarity

Precision of a witness on the stands day in and day out

Past the motorcade men marching up and down their drowning faces

Try to sleep through a memory picked apart by broken needles silencing the truth

Voices crawl through the walls

Voices break every last filament

Shaking the stain of regret

A dose of pain

a dose of hope running thin

Lost in the faith of memory gone astray

Faces of tomorrow drink from the laughter burning through the crowd

Breaking the ice in my heart day in and day out

Spinning around and around in the dark and light

Visions to guide past the violence written in their eyes

A sacrifice breaking the bread behind cathedral walls

The light shinning brighter and brighter

Forgiving the sins written across their eyes

Memories numb my

“wheels under your skin”

Faces blind colorless

Running through the basement knocking between voice to voice

Witness the pattern

Monitoring the day in and out

Step into the detection scripts

Carry vices on their broken backs

Catalyst igniting the wheels under your skin

Tires burning to witness and withstand

Breaking free from time itself

The flames ingulf substance ahead

A dream faster and faster

Search for survival on the stands

Collapse bridges numbing confusion

“the thin people” by Sylvia Plath

The Thin People

They are always with us, the thin people
Meager of dimension as the gray people

On a movie-screen. They
Are unreal, we say:

It was only in a movie, it was only
In a war making evil headlines when we

Were small that they famished and
Grew so lean and would not round

Out their stalky limbs again though peace
Plumped the bellies of the mice

Under the meanest table.
It was during the long hunger-battle

They found their talent to persevere
In thinness, to come, later,

Into our bad dreams, their menace
Not guns, not abuses,

But a thin silence.
Wrapped in flea ridden donkey skins,

Empty of complaint, forever
Drinking vinegar from tin cups: they wore

The insufferable nimbus of the lot-drawn
Scapegoat. But so thin,

So weedy a race could not remain in dreams,
Could not remain outlandish victims

In the contracted country of the head
Any more than the old woman in her mud hut could

Keep from cutting fat meat
Out of the side of the generous moon when it

Set foot nightly in her yard
Until her knife had pared

The moon to a rind of little light.
Now the thin people do not obliterate

Themselves as the dawn
Grayness blues, reddens, and the outline

Of the world comes clear and fills with color.
They persist in the sunlit room: the wall paper

Frieze of cabbage-roses and cornflowers pales
Under their thin-lipped smiles,

Their withering kingship.
How they prop each other up!

We own no wildernesses rich and deep enough
For stronghold against their stiff

Battalions. See, how the tree boles flatten
And lose their good browns

If the thin people simply stand in the forest,
Making the world go thin as a wasp’s nest

And grayer; not even moving their bones.

“in love with a ghost”

In love with a ghost

Afraid of the world given to me

Breaking down a memory ward

Voices falling from heaven

Locked in trespass…a room…a prison meant to carry on

Faces scattering watching time burn

Sketching out the hidden souls before they disappear

Look towards the sky but it’s all allusion

Mistakes filmed beyond sources agonized through experiment

Perspectives damages

Treating a disease falling from the asylum pushed past incurable regret

Disordered thoughts avoiding destination

Too blind to see the world

Voices demanding solitary confession

Collecting desires…pushing towards the hill

Treating the broken corners driven by unstable minds

Truth slipping away

Empathy washing away their skin

At the gates I can see their faces

Voices breaking down these fences of my heart

Shaking a bell to heaven…don’t let it burn from implication

“to find you again”

The first time I look in the mirror

All I see is you

Counting down the days in my heart

To find you again

To find you again

Damaging myself when you appear

Damaging myself when you appear

Like all the ghosts walking down the street

All I see is you

All I see is you

Transparent and numbered by time

A witness to my guidepost

You are the one in my mind

20 years gone

It’s you

Climbing up the mountains

To reach the mirror

Pushing back self control

Losing it all for these mistakes

Walking down the streets to find you

To open up these doors to see a ghost

But I know it is really you

A true instinct

To send these letters through time

To find you again

When you appear I’ve lost it all

When you appear these colors pressing against my heart

Is it really you?

Shaking these voices

To hear you

Breaking down the windows to find your heart

Shaking down every door to see these visions

To wash away my tears

Pressing against the wall

Staring through time to catch up with memories

All these secrets I want to give you everything

Faster and faster to scrape away a value

Fast and faster to breakdown the light

Faster and faster to find you again

To find you again

To find you again

falling bricks

I’m at the edge dreaming fast past understanding the turn around

They tell it to their faces melting away with persistence

Glitter down

Glitter past emotion

Light prevails whispering secrets lost by betrayal

On top of the ocean when we fell down the escape magician

bending light against colors pushing value

Rising and falling

Fire touches the edge without resistance

(Laughing at tomorrow without a trace)

Pick pocket cold black detentions

Static mesmerizing light

Dusting off prints of temptation standing too tall

Teaching breath to breath fundamental

Breaking free of confusion hitting time with unobtainable control

Losing touch

Losing value

Losing lies

Losing in the rain where we catch the final train

Carry ahead to build this fire deeper and deeper

Chisels away hot and cold

Stare at heartbeat beating faster and faster

Impossible to regret

Impossible to lose

Impossible to break the whisper in the schoolyard

touch the visions of a spirit ahead of its time

Puncture the colors and break like falling bricks

A glimpse blue – damaged secrets trapped in voices coloring the sparks behind their dreams

Distracted and spinning

I heard you in memory lapse

I heard you in the oceans draining into lucidity

Peel away the edge of nights faulting sanity

“skin shedding newspaper print”

Colors masquerade to pivot the clocks

Statues drop through an epidemic

Well aware of the fault burning through the sun

Visions on their minds

Step across madness like discarded emotion

Skin shedding newspaper print like future traces

Shift and collapse to witness imagination

painted across windshields crushed  with desire

Like a book pressing on your imagination

Writing against a hope fascinating a million crowds

break my back to kickstart emotions fueling this crowd

Secrets belong across a billion billboards across the sky

Shaking words in your eyes to dissolve every ounce of doubt half-traced from the timeline

the chemical compass of your heart

The world painted in blue and green

Faces disappear from the trickery running behind your eyes

Watching the marks of skipping stones

I felt a difference across the wires of your escape

Bringing out every ounce of purity

When we start to believe in our senses

Drop all the pain of constriction

A battle of our senses

Pushing every trace across the water

When the ships burn the night into something beautiful

A compass to your heart exploding through the wires

Like a fisherman

Like a lifeguard

Like an act of faith

Watching the water for miles and miles

Marching like the sun in a far escape

Like a fisherman

Like a lifeguard

Like an act of faith

When we sail to burn the stars past the chemical compass of your heart

“Amplified Secrets”

Drowning in the blind seas

Boats cross a vacant memory tumbling like pinwheels

Stars like surprise to count the distance

Wipe the glass illusion

(From withstanding beauty)

Faces like chemicals burning to dust

Colors shake the lost patterns of redefined creation

Dismiss a vacant voice haunting the tempest

Climbing bridges under needles in your parade

Blueprints capturing imagination marching for freedom of consciousness

At last when we break the bells too divine to wake the dead

Confusion of relapse

Passing down a purity locked with questions

Visions left unheard

To face the silence of constriction

Burning light through day

To transcribe hues of understanding

When faith dances around a sentence reflecting colors lost with amplified secrets marching the silent outbreak within damaged light

Running through ageless snow-filled skies

Destabilize a freezing control of returning implication

A permanent reiteration calculating the divisional value from shadows resolved in the night’s emotional ring of amplified secret illusional control

“a blinding light across the waters to bring us together”

lost in the damaged emotions charged against the wires in your mind

stand still across the skies in preservation

try to control my emotions while the world falls against the shores inside your voice

I gave you all my dreams to perspire without a trace

left in the blinding lights on this bridges watching the ground shake with sound

colors beating faster through the streets to trace the ghosts in my vision

you are all that is left on my mind

to write a million letters waiting for tomorrow

all the memories we had walking by like impacted monuments

breaking the footsteps in my mind to watch for the numbing of the needle

when the streets bleed for crime all I have is your voice in my mind

to shatter the glass with eloquence

visions so severe they draw me closer to a time when we can be together

the clicking of the clock across the only sky we had

walking away from everything that mattering hoping to find you

preserved by the only time we had

close our eyes and watch the blinding colors sheltering the voices we have left

we can’t control our emotions or conceal the only dreams we have

driving against the heartbeat of tomorrow across this bridge of time

skies echo like heaven you are my only light I can hold in my heart

the only hope in my heart holding me together through time

to break the needles through futility tearing a heaven so blinding

ingest our youth and pray for tomorrow

my only light carrying me up the hills in the sky

marching across secrecy the footsteps break apart like balloons

struggle for existence but you build me stronger

even emotion like quicksand sinking all the pain away

don’t control the pain because you are all I have left to carry me across the ocean

ships that sail the waves of hope  cast the sail towards the sky

march for what matters

march for what matters

a blinding light across the waters to bring us together

I have found a dream in your secrecy

to take your voice numbing my skin

preserving the final ghost to taste my youth

I can’t replace you

I can’t replace you

you are everything that matters

breaking the needle against the mirror finding my tomorrow

march for what matters don’t let them push you away

break the glass against motorcade

lights that burn with futility

sleeping on top of the sky watching the stars building us stronger

break the needles against the mirrors of time
