“obliterate the colors on the wall”

I see you in the distance

run down pinned dreams

in the dark too hard to focus on recreation

memories flash by your head

scared to take cover

flash the light but you don’t see me this time

all the colors falling from your head

I see you strike memories like matchsticks

every burning ignition to color my days away

too dark to contrast

out of focus towards determination

too numb to feel

too dark to contrast

every radiation point hitting us harder and harder

every face we can’t recollect

a sudden impact in our heads

crash down the obliterated sky

miles away police scan for observation

he pays the price for the vices lined up against registered skin

all the chemicals in his hands to ingest the past away

to strike the match against the wall

to withstand every word far behind

to strike the headlights to understand

don’t know which way to turn

don’t want to obliterate the colors on the wall
